Horsham District Council have expanded the Hot Bin food recycling trial to more local participants in order to learn more about food waste recycling and how the bin functions with a wider variety of family units.
The trial participants include 14 further Recycling Champion families and community groups such as St Mark's Church Holbrook (pictured).
The initial Hot Bin trial launched back in summer 2020 and ran for six months with a smaller group of families. They shared with us how using the special bin helped them to reduce their food waste as well as producing valuable home composting.
Cllr Kate Rowbottom has been elected Chairman of Horsham District Council for the civic year 2022 to 2023. Cllr Ian Stannard was appointed as the Vice Chairman of the Council.
Cllr Rowbottom said: "I am honoured to be voted in as Chairman of Horsham District Council for a second time."
