Henfield learned sadly of the passing of Her Majesty the Queen on Thursday the 8th of September. The Proclamaition of King Charles III, read by Vice Chairman Cllr Elaine Goodyear, took place at 4pm outside the Henfield Hall on Sunday the 11th of Spetember 2022 and can be viewed here.
Funding is now in place for work to begin on removing the willows from the reed bed on Henfield Common. It is hoped that work will begin shortly.
The old Henfield Scout Hut has now been demolished and work on constructing the new building will commence soon, with hopes that the external building works will be complete by the end of November. Fund raising continues for the internal work.
Henfield Parish Council are pleased to have enlisted the Community Payback team from Crawley Probation Office. They will be refurbishing the high street benches, litter bins and bollards as well as many of our play areas, including Chess Brook Green, the Kings Field and the Rothery.

Horsham District’s most vulnerable residents are set to receive extra financial support from the Council, funded primarily by this year’s Council Tax revenue. Additionally a series of new community drop-in sessions have been introduced across the Horsham District to help residents who are struggling and need help accessing key services to help them stay independent and healthy.
